What this means in practice: a blog post about managing type 2 diabetes written by a board-certified endocrinologist with their name, credentials, and professional photo attached to the article will outperform the same information published anonymously by a content agency. Length and Depth Matter More Than Frequency

This internal linking structure helps Google understand the topical scope of your practice and distributes ranking authority across your site.
It also keeps patients on your site longer — which is a conversion signal. A patient who reads three articles about their condition before booking an appointment is more committed than one who reads one and leaves.
Update Old Content
Medical guidelines change. Treatment protocols evolve. An article about COVID management from 2021 may be significantly outdated. Stale medical content is a trust and E-E-A-T liability.
