One Page Per Town.
Done Right.

A town list on your contact page is not a service area. Here is what is.

TOWNS

You probably serve ten or twenty towns. Your website probably mentions them once, in a list on the contact page. Google does not rank lists. When someone in Brandon searches “roofer Brandon,” Google looks for a page about roofing in Brandon. If you do not have one, a competitor who does gets the call.

The fix is one page per town. The trap is making them all the same page with the town name swapped. Google sees through that in a second, and so does a homeowner.

What makes a town page real

Each page needs things that are true only for that town:

  • Jobs you did there. Two or three, with photos and the neighborhood. “Tile roof replacement in Valrico, spring 2026.”
  • A review from someone who lives there. Ask customers to mention their town. See the reviews guide.
  • Something about the houses. Older neighborhoods with original roofs, newer builds with builder-grade shingles, a lot of tile, a lot of flat roofs. You know this. Write it down.
  • How fast you get there. “We are usually in Riverview within 40 minutes.”
  • The towns next to it. A few links to the neighboring pages, so the set holds together.

What every town page shares

Your services, with links to the repair and replacement pages. Your license and insurance. Your phone number at the top and the bottom. That part can be the same on every page. The rest cannot.

Start with five, not twenty

Pick the five towns where you do the most work or want to do more. Build those well. Add the rest one at a time as you finish jobs there and have real photos to show. Five good pages beat twenty thin ones, and thin ones can hurt the rest of your site.

Where they live on your site

Put a “Areas We Serve” link in your main menu that goes to a short page listing all the towns, each linked to its page. Link to the town pages from the homepage too. Google finds pages by following links, and a town page nobody links to is a town page nobody finds.

Want this done for you?

Town pages are the slowest part of roofing SEO and the one that pays longest. If you want to know which towns you are already close to ranking in, the audit is free and shows you.
