“CPA for Dentists.”
The Searches Nobody Writes For.

Generic searches are a fight. Niche searches are nearly empty. Here is how to claim them.

NICHE

Search “accountant near me” and you are fighting every firm in your county, plus the national chains. Now search “accountant for dentists” or “CPA for real estate investors” or “bookkeeping for contractors.” Almost nobody has a page for those. The people typing them are business owners with real money and a specific problem. They are the best clients you will ever get.

This is the biggest gap in accounting SEO, and it is a page you can write in an afternoon, because you already know the material.

Pick the niches you already serve

Look at your client list. Which industries show up three or more times? Dentists, contractors, restaurants, landlords, truckers, salons, law firms, e-commerce sellers. Those are your niches. Do not invent one you have never worked in. The page has to be written by someone who knows the trade, and clients can tell.

What goes on a niche page

Write it the way you would explain things to a new client from that industry on the first call. Plain words, in this order:

  • The three money problems in that trade. For contractors: job costing, sales tax on materials, 1099 subs. For dentists: equipment write-offs, entity structure, associate pay. Name them.
  • What you do about each one. One short paragraph each. No jargon.
  • What it costs. A monthly range for bookkeeping, a range for the return. Owners in a hurry want a number.
  • Proof. A review from a client in that trade, with the trade named. “Handles the books for my two dental offices.”
  • A real person. A paragraph from you: “I have worked with a dozen contractors over the years. Here is what I tell every one.”

One page per niche, each one different

The trap is writing one page and swapping the industry word. Google sees through that, and so does a dentist who reads “job costing” on a page meant for her. Each page needs problems, prices and proof that are true only for that trade. Three real niche pages beat ten copied ones.

How to write one in an afternoon

Do not start with a blank page. Start with your last three phone calls from that industry. What did they ask first? What did they not understand? What did you end up explaining twice? Those are your headings. Write the answers the way you said them on the phone. Then add the price range, the review and your paragraph at the end. Most owners can draft a niche page in two hours this way, because the material is already in their head.

Which niche to start with

Start with the one where you have the most clients and the best review. That page will have the most proof, and proof is what makes a niche page rank and convert. Add the second niche a month later. Do not launch five at once with no reviews on any of them. One strong page teaches you what works, and you can copy the shape, not the words, for the next one.

If you are not sure which niche is worth it, search “accountant for [industry]” plus your city and look at who shows up. If it is national directories and nobody local, that niche is open.

Where the pages live

Add an “Industries We Serve” link to your main menu that goes to a short page listing each niche, linked to its page. Link to the niche pages from your main service pages too. Google finds pages by following links, and a page nobody links to is a page nobody finds.

Why this also helps with ChatGPT

When someone asks an AI assistant “who is a good accountant for a restaurant in Tampa,” the assistant looks for pages that plainly say “accountant for restaurants in Tampa.” A generic services page does not say that. A niche page does. The same page that wins the Google search is the one that gets named by the assistant. And a niche review on your Google listing backs it up.
