01 — The Core Four

Every SEO Service Is One of These.

TECHNICAL + ON-PAGE

Make the Site Rankable

Crawlability, speed, structure, titles, internal links, schema. The foundation layer — invisible when right, a ceiling on everything when wrong.

CONTENT

Give Google a Reason

Keyword research turned into pages that match what buyers search — service pages, guides, comparisons — plus refreshes that stop decay.

AUTHORITY + LOCAL

Earn the Trust Signals

Link building from real sites, digital PR, and local seo — profile, reviews, citations — for businesses where proximity drives the purchase.

02 — Who You Work With

One Operator, Full Scope.

Connor Cedro, SEO consultant

Hey, I'm Connor. I'm a SEMrush-certified SEO consultant delivering this full scope personally — the seo audits, the keyword research, the technical fixes, the content, the outreach. No hand-offs between departments, no junior layer between strategy and execution. That model has a real constraint: I cap my roster so the work stays mine. It also has a real advantage: when you ask why something was done, the person who did it answers. This page is the scope I quote against — use it to decode any seo company's proposal, including mine.

03 — Proof

The Services, Producing.

Retail · Nationwide Reach

04 — Inside the Retainer

What Each Month Actually Produces.

EVERY MONTH

Content & Optimization

New pages targeting named keywords, existing pages re-optimized, internal links built, titles and schema maintained as search results shift.

EVERY MONTH

Authority Work

Outreach and placements on real sites (DA 40+), unlinked mentions converted, and local citations kept consistent where local matters.

EVERY MONTH

Measurement

Plain-English reporting: rankings on target terms, organic traffic, and — the point of all of it — leads and revenue from organic search.

05 — How It Works

How the Services Sequence.

1

Audit & Research

Free technical and competitive audit first, then full keyword research mapped to your business goals — so the plan is built from data, not a menu.

2

Fix, Then Build

Technical debts cleared first so every new page inherits a healthy site; then content and links compound on the fixed foundation.

3

Compound & Report

Monthly execution, monthly reporting in leads — month-to-month terms, because the long term should be earned quarter by quarter.

06 — Who It's For

Who Buys the Full Scope.

By Situation

  • Comparing proposals and unsure what the line items mean
  • Paying for SEO now with no idea what's delivered
  • Launching a growth channel that has to show ROI
  • Rebuilding after a cheap-SEO penalty or plateau

By Business

  • Ecommerce and multi-category stores
  • B2B and professional services firms
  • Multi-location and franchise brands

08 — The Playbook

Decode Any SEO Proposal in Minutes.

CHECK NAMES

Keywords, Not Categories

Real proposals name the actual terms they'd target and roughly where you rank today. Optimize for relevant keywords is a category, not a plan.

CHECK COUNTS

Quantities and Quality Bars

How many pages, how many links, at what quality threshold, each month. Unquantified deliverables become whatever was convenient to deliver.

CHECK OUTCOMES

Leads in the Reporting

If the reporting section doesn't mention leads or revenue, the service is designed to be judged on activity. Decline accordingly.

09 — In Depth

Each Service, What It's Worth, and How It's Faked.

SEO audits: the diagnosis everything depends on

A real audit crawls your site, benchmarks your search engine optimization health against the competitors actually outranking you, and produces a prioritized list: what's suppressing rankings, what's missing against demand, what to do in what order. It should name specific URLs and specific fixes. The faked version is a PDF from an automated scanner with your logo on it — eighty generic warnings, no priorities, no market context. Worth paying for: $500–$5,000 as a standalone depending on site size. Worth more: a provider confident enough to do the first read free, which is what I do.

Keyword research: mapping demand to your business goals

Good keyword research isn't a spreadsheet of search volumes — it's a map from what buyers type to what you sell, sorted by intent and winnability. It distinguishes the searches that produce customers from the ones that produce readers, sequences targets by difficulty against your site's authority, and turns into a content plan with each page assigned a job. The faked version chases volume: broad terms you can't win and don't convert. One test sorts providers instantly: ask why they'd target a given term first. Because it has 10,000 searches is the wrong answer.

Technical SEO: the ceiling on everything else

Technical work makes the site crawlable, fast and understandable: index control, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, redirect hygiene, structured data, clean internal linking. It's the highest-leverage spend on sites with real problems and near-zero value as a recurring line item on healthy small sites — which is exactly how it gets faked: monthly technical maintenance on a 30-page site that needed two days of fixes once. Expect a concentrated early-engagement push, then periodic checks. If technical appears every month forever on a small site's invoice, ask what specifically changed.

On-page optimization: where rankings are tuned

On-page is the craft layer: titles that earn the click in the search results, headings that structure the argument, internal links that route authority to money pages, content laid out for user experience and for the AI systems now quoting pages directly. It's real, compounding work when done against a target list — and the easiest service to fake with bulk meta-description rewrites that move nothing. The tell is specificity: optimized 12 pages is noise; here are the 12 pages, the terms, and the before/after positions is service.

Content: the engine, and the easiest place to waste money

Content marketing inside an SEO retainer means pages built against researched demand: service pages, comparison pages, guides that answer the questions buyers ask on the way to purchasing, and — increasingly valuable — refreshes of decaying pages that already have authority. The faked version is volume blogging: AI-padded posts on topics nobody searches, published to hit a deliverable count. Since search engines now filter thin content aggressively, the fake doesn't just waste money — it degrades the site hosting it. Fewer, deeper, targeted pages beat any volume number.

Link building: authority, or liability

Links from real sites with real organic traffic remain among the strongest ranking signals, and earning them — through outreach, digital PR, data pieces worth citing — is skilled, slow work. The faked version is the industry's biggest scam: private blog networks, directory packs and $5 marketplace links that add risk instead of authority. Demand to see actual recent placements for a current client before believing any link building line item. Real placements have real traffic; check them yourself in any SEO tool.

Local SEO: its own service line

For businesses whose customers are nearby, local seo is often the highest-ROI slice of the whole engagement: Google Business Profile optimization, review velocity, citation consistency, and location pages that rank in both the map pack and organic results. It's concrete, checkable work — which makes the faked version easy to spot: we manage your listings with no review growth, no ranking movement in the pack, no new local pages. If proximity drives your purchases, weight this line heavily when comparing seo agencies.

Reporting: the service that keeps the others honest

Reporting should answer three questions in plain English: what did we do, what happened to rankings and organic traffic, and what did it produce in leads or revenue. Monthly, tied to the target list, with your own Search Console and analytics access confirmed — your data stays yours. The faked version is the dashboard export: forty charts, zero interpretation, impressions up and to the right while the phone stays quiet. A provider's sample report tells you more about them than their case studies do; ask for one before signing.

What full-scope service costs in 2026

The market bands are consistent whether you hire a digital marketing agency, a boutique seo service or a consultant: local campaigns $1,000–$2,500 a month, competitive regional and national work $2,500–$7,500, enterprise above that. My tiers sit inside those bands — $1,250, $2,500 and $4,000 — matched to your site's authority, month-to-month, published in the pricing section above. The floor matters more than the ceiling: under roughly $1,000 monthly, the labor for real research, content, technical care and outreach doesn't exist, so the product silently becomes automation. Cheap SEO is the most expensive kind — it just bills you later, through a plateau or a penalty.

The one question that compresses this whole page

Before you buy search engine optimization services from anyone: what exactly will you do in month one, on my site, and how will I know it worked? Specific providers answer with URLs, keywords and numbers. Everyone else answers with process. Start with my free audit and you'll have the baseline to judge every answer against — including mine.

10 — Common Questions

Questions Before You Book.

What do search engine optimization services include?

Audits, keyword research, technical fixes, on-page optimization, content creation, link building, local SEO where relevant, and monthly reporting tied to leads.

How much do SEO services cost per month?

Local campaigns run $1,000–$2,500; competitive regional and national work $2,500–$7,500. My tiers are $1,250, $2,500 and $4,000, matched to site authority.

Which SEO service matters most?

Whichever your site lacks — that's what an audit determines. Technical debt caps everything; with a healthy foundation, content and links drive the compounding.

How long do SEO services take to show results?

Technical fixes can move rankings in weeks; content and authority gains typically compound over 3–9 months depending on competition and existing authority.

Can I buy just one service instead of a full retainer?

Yes — standalone audits, technical projects and content sprints all make sense. The audit tells you whether you need the full scope or a targeted fix.

Do you require a contract?

No. Every tier is month-to-month, starting with a free audit delivered the same business day.
